Avantgarde night reading
It was a part of Museum Night 2017 in Powszechny Theatre – we called it „Avantgarde night reading”. Essays by Antonin Artaud, Pina Bausch, Jerzy Grotowski and Tadeusz Kantor – the most important theatre avantgarde creators – were read performatively by Powszechny Theatre actors.
The texts referred to multimedia exposition „Avantgarde As a State of Mind” that has been presented in the theatre foyer. The exhibition, organized in cooperation with the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw, has been a part of the 23rd edition of International Festival of Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant. The esssays were read by Jarosław Dziedzic, Michał Lacheta and Arkadiusz Wójcik. Cooperation – Joanna Głodek, Katarzyna Markiewicz and Natalia Słaboń – student of International Culture Studies of University of Łódź.
The even was part of the „Łódź – the Capital of Avantgarde” project.
