Golden Masks for Powszechny Theatre!

It is our pleasure to inform you that Powszechny Theatre was awarded with Golden Masks – awards given by theatrical critics – for 2014/2015 season in three categories. The ceremony took place on 27 September in the Grand Theatre in Łódź.

 

Golden Mask award for the best achievements in directing was given to

Janusz Wiśniewski

for „The School for Wives”

produced by the Powszechny Theatre in Łódź specially for the 21st edition of International Festival of Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant

 

Marta Jarczewska

was awardedwith Golden Mask

for the best actor’s debut

for the role in

“Oś”

directed by Filip Gieldon

 

Dymitr Hołówko

received Golden Mask award

for the role of Chrysalde in “The School for Wives” in Powszechny Theatre

as well for the role of Robert Aigner in “Time of call” by Robert Wichrowski (produced by Logos Theatre)

 

“Oś” and “The School for Wives” were presented on the Small Stage of Powszechny Theatre. The awards prove that the stage has given us new possibilities of artistic development. It has become the place for many different theatrical genres. Thanks to the stage we can develop our social and educative projects.
