21st edition of The Sibiu International Theatre Festival – one of the most important theatre festivals in Europe and in the world – has been going on in Sibiu (Romania). It is a big holiday of art and of the theatre which is celebrated by the whole city. The organizers have invited more than 2,500 artists who will take part in 350 events (shows, discussions, workshops, concerts).

Tonight „Tu-wim” was presented in Sibiu. The spectacle produced by Powszechny Theatre in Łódź (directed by Jerzy Jan Połoński and Jarosław Staniek) received a standing ovation from the festiwal audience.

The organizers of the Sibiu Festiwal have invited four spectacles from Poland – except for „Tu-wim” there are „Rodzeństwo” („Ritter, Dene, Voss”) directed by Krystian Lupa, „Do Damaszku” („Till Damascus”) directed by Jan Klata and „Ślepcy” („The Blind”) directed by Jerzy Zoń to be presented during the festival.
