„Open Stage” epilogue

In May in Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź an epilogue of the „Open Stage: Scenography” project took place. It was a series of meetings with Mr Allan Starski, Oscar winner, prepared by Powszechny Theatre in Łódź specially for the students of the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Academy. During May meetings the students discussed with Mr Starski the problems of the organization of a film set design and a film production; the starting point was a movie “Schindler’s List” by Steven Spielberg. The second part of May workshops was devoted to a discussion on the students’ works that were prepared in the Academy.

The workshops with Mr Allan Starski are the continuation of the “Open Stage” project which was ran in 2014/2015 season by Powszechny Theatre in Łódź and the University of Łódź. The project was devoted to artistic criticism and the workshops were run by Jacek Wakar, Aneta Kyzioł, Łukasz Drewniak and Dominika Łarionow.
