Open Stage – master workshop with Allan Starski

This was the first meeting in the „Open Stage: scenography” project. The series of workshops and lectures specially prepared for the students of the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź will be run by Mr Allan Starski – Oscar winner and author of many set designs.

The meetings will take place in the summer semester of 2015/2016 academic year. It will be a good opportunity for the students to compare their skills and experience with the Master’s knowledge. The first meeting took place today. During the inauguration of the series Mr Allan Starski told about his work on films, about the cooperation with cinematographer and director, about his preparations to different projects. He showed his work and storyboards for films like „Oliver Twist” directed by Roman Polański and „Danton” directed by Andrzej Wajda.

We will start our regular meetings on our Small Stage in February. We invite you to join us then.
