Preview of „Brunch” („Brancz”) by Juliusz Machulski
On 30 May we had the pleasure of presenting on the Small Stage our latest preview - „Brunch” („Brancz”). It has been the third play by Juliusz Machulski in Powszechny Theatre. Machulski, a well-known film director („Seksmisja”, „Kingsajz”), wrote „Next-ex” and „Mother of my son's brother” specially for our Theatre. Many times he emphasised that he started writing for the theatre thanks to director Ewa Pilawska who is the author of the idea of Polish Comedy Centre.
„Brunch” is a holiday family comedy in two acts. It tells about us in a funny and perceptive way – if we can understand each other, talk to each other, show our feelings and own up to our mistakes. In the spectacle everyone can find a part of the truth about himself, about the family and the family relationships. Is there an understanding among members of an multigenerational family?
Thank you for your presence! We are pleased to inform you than on 25 April Juliusz Machulski was presented with The Kosciuszko Foundation Medal of Recognition for his merits to the promotion of Poland and Polish culture in the USA.
