Preview of „Stop Motion” („Stopklatka”) on Small Stage

On Friday (24 April) night on our Small Stage we had a pleasure of presenting the preview of „Stop Motion” („Stopklatka”) – a play by Malina Prześluga, directed by Jakub Zubrzycki who graduated Directing Department of the Film School in Łódź this year.

„Stop Motion” is a moving story about a boy who had an accident and has been paralyzed since then. The accident has changed his life completely. He is confined to four walls of his room but he finds his passion – watching movies. But as time goes by he starts to look at the world through popular movies. Eventually the accident becomes a stop motion for him. But real life is not a movie – you cannot stop anything…

After the show director Ewa Pilawska thanked the creators of the spectacle. She also thanked the author, Malina Prześluga, for her great play. It had to wait two years for its production in Powszechny Theatre. Director Ewa Pilawska also said she was very pleased with the cooperation with students and graduates of the Film School in Łódź. „Stop Motion” is another spectacle of Powszechny Theatre produced by young creators. This has been possible due to our Small Stage’s opportunities for artistic development and experiment.

Thank you for your presence!
