Radziewicz and Heaney – „Season in Beauty” for the 5th time

Seamus Heaney and Teresa Radziewicz were the heroes of our „Season in Beauty” meeting. It was the 5th meeting of the series. Both poets emphasize a very strong relation of their poems to nature. The poems were read by the Powszechny Theatre’s actors – Karolina Krawczyńska and Jarosław Dziedzic. The meeting was moderated by Piotr Grobliński, a poet, journalist and culture publicist.

Seamus Justin Heaney was an Irish poet, playwright and translator. In 1995 he received the Nobel Prize in Literature. Born in 1939 in Derry, Northern Ireland, he was the author of many books of poems, dramas, essays and translations. He published his first book in 1966 and the last – in 2010. He was regarded as one of the principal contributors to poetry during his lifetime. Heaney died in 2013 in Dublin.

Teresa Radziewicz (born in 1970) is the author of five books of poems. She lives in Podlasie (north-eastern part of Poland).

Thank you for your presence. We invite you to our next „Season in Beauty” meeting in December.
