Special Golden Mask for „Tu-wim"

It is our pleasure to inform you that Powszechny Theatre was awarded Special Golden Mask for the performance of „Tu-wim”. The ceremony took place on Saturday, 18 October, in Wielki Theatre in Łódź before the premiere of „The Haunted Manor” directed by Krystyna Janda.

The award was given to our Theatre for „Tu-wim” (which was premiered in 2013/2014 season) as a recognition of an original approach to the poetry of Julian Tuwim in the Tuwim Year and for putting it in modern and local context. Ewa Pilawska, director of Powszechny Theatre thanked for the award and gave her special thanks to „Tu-wim” team, Powszechny Theatre team and to all those who have not lost faith.

This is another distinction for „Tu-wim” – the play was already presented during International Theatre Festival in Sibiu as well as in London and Stuttgart and it received enthusiastic welcome there.
