THE DRESSER National Theatre

in Warsaw

Shakespeare's “King Lear” on the poster. The head of a theatre troupe, “Sir” for the colleagues, will play the title role for the 227th time. But he is becoming weaker and weaker. Behind the scenes he is accompanied by the dresser – Norman. “The Dresser” belongs to the canon of contemporary art. It is about the elusiveness of the theatre, about a personal and artistic fulfillment, about loneliness, loyalty and interpersonal games. The part of Sir is played by Jan Englert, the part of the Dresser – by Janusz Gajos.
