The 52nd preview of the Reading theatre in its 11-years' history

It was 11 years ago when the Reading theatre for people with poor eyesight and blind was inaugurated in the Łódź branch of Polish Union of the Blind. On Wednesday, 23 November, on the Small Stage of Powszechny Theatre in Łódź the 52nd preview of the project took place. „The Argument” by William Boyd was directed – as always – on a voluntary basis by the theatre director Ewa Pilawska, who is the creator of the project.

„The Argument” by William Boyd is a black comedy which premiered in London this March. Yesterday it was presented in Poland for the first time. In his play the Scottish writer (author of several novels which were translated into more than 30 languages all over the world) shows the relations with our relatives. The arguments that have been mentioned in good faith reveal old prejudices, sharp judgements and painful truth. „The Argument” shows that it is the closest relatives who hurt us most deeply. The play asks what forgiveness is and if we are able to forgive. Or is it only a compromise?

Thank you for your presence!
