The 54th preview of the Theatre for people with poor eyesight – full house

“Clever Little Lies” was the 54th preview of the Reading theatre for people with poor eyesight and blind. The play by Joe DiPietro was produced on 8 December on our Small Stage. The comedy was directed – as always – on a voluntary basis by the theatre director Ewa Pilawska, who is the creator of the project. As always the house was crowded and the auditorium of Small Stage appeared to be too small for all our spectators.

After the show Ms Ewa Pilawska said the meetings with our audience were always a pleasure but they could not be possible if it were not for Ms Teresa Wrzesińska. She was the president of the Łódź branch of Polish Union of the Blind and it was thanks to cooperation with her that the project of the Reading theatre for people with poor eyesight and blind came into existence more than 11 years ago. She believed in it, in the idea that seemed a little bit uncertain and even crazy in those days. Ms Wrzesińska died in January. – I talked to her twice in December. She kept optimistic and cheerful to the very end. It was wonderful to meet such persons – Ewa Pilawska said and asked for a minute’s silence in memory of Teresa Wrzesińska.

Thank you for being with us! We invite you to our following previews.
