„The Maid” – a magnificent opening night

We opened 2016 in Powszechny Theatre with a big dose of optimism. It was a preview of „The Maid” („La Bonne Anna”) directed by Jakub Przebindowski. The play by Marc Camoletti was translated and adapted to stage by Bartosz Wierzbięta, the author of many excellent translations. He brought the action of the play to present-day Lodz. On Saturday, 16 January, many our friends and spectators visited our theatre. All tickets were sold out, the house was more than full! After the show theatre director Ewa Pilawska thanked the play's creators and producers and the talks and discussions continued long at night.

It was a terrific opening night, thank you!
