Just on the 14th of February Łódź will become the theatrical capital of Poland. Traditionally, the outstanding theatres and exceptional performances, the distinguished artists and interesting companies were invited to our festival. This year edition will be opened by Krystian Lupa’s Extinction – a masterly display based on Thomas Bernhard’s prose prepared by the company of Teatr Dramatyczny from Warsaw. Moreover, foreign theatres will make guest performances – among others Slovenian Mladinsko Theatre, Israeli Habima Theatre, and German Schubühne. We will present the most interesting Polish comedy plays as well as the interesting artistic struggles with more serious repertoire. A controversial (A)pollonia directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski will finish our festival.
