Ewa Pilawska - our candidate in "The Łódź Man of 2017" plebiscite

Polish Radio Łódź began the plebiscite for the Łódź Man of 2017. The plebiscite’s chapter chose the final five candidates and we are very pleased to say that our director, Ms Ewa Pilawska is among them being  the only representative of the theatre community of Łódź. The residents of Łódź will vote for the person who, in their opinion, did his/her best for the city last year. The plebiscite’s media patrons are: local office of TVP (Polish public television), Express Ilustrowany daily and Tvi LODMAN. 

(…) Ms Ewa Pilawska created the International Festival of Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant, one of the most important cultural events in Poland. The Reading theatre for people with poor eyesight and blind was her initiative, too – the project is produced together with the Polish Union of the Blind in Łódź. (…) Ms Ewa Pilawska organizes spectacles for the unemployed – people who do not have permanent jobs can buy tickets for a symbolic one zloty – this is what we can read in the candidate’s description.
