The city of Gliwice has its own urban legends. Zdzisław Najmrodzki is the hero of many of them. He graduated from five classes of elementary school, had a chance for a military career, wanted to become a rally driver, became a legend of the thieving world. He was called the king of thieves and the master of escapes. He stole, however, only luxury goods from Pewex stores and delicatessen. Smart and shameless, he broke free from justice twenty nine times, including twice from the Gliwice prison. His biography is an excellent material for the screenplay of an action film.
