„A Hunk” – the 65th preview of the Reading theatre for people with poor eyesight and blind

On Wednesday 20 November on our Small Stage we presented „A Hunk” („Mandíbula afilada”) – a comedy by Carles Alberola, a Spanish writer and actor. The 65th preview of the Reading theatre for people with poor eyesight and blind was directed as usual by Ewa Pilawska on a voluntary basis. Thank you for being with us! The next preview – on 11 December.

The play by Carles Alberola is a story of a search for love and a need of being accepted. It tells how much we lose when we are looking for  our worth and how much we are ready to sacrifice to find it while throwing off the most important things.

Has it ever happened to you to give up something only because of your lack of confidence? Because you thought you did not deserve it? Because you lacked self-confidence and self-esteem you gave up fight for important things, you backed out and ran away? Juan and Laura have been friends since their childhood. Their friendship soon turned into fascination and then youthful love. But they broke their relations off and lost contact. Every one of them chose their own way of trying to become a better version of themselves. Today they are meeting again. How much have they changed? Have they grown up? Have they understood their mistake? Is their meeting an opportunity to correct it?
