Barbara Połomska

Barbara Połomska (born 1934) graduated State Drama School in Krakow in 1956. While filming “Godziny nadziei” (“Hours of hope”) she met Jadwiga Chojnacka, the then Powszechny Theatre director who offered her the job in the theatre. He joined Powszechny Theatre in 1956 and a year later made her debut in “Pygmalion” by G.B. Shaw. She received many awards for her roles, among others Golden Mask in 1971 and Silver Ring – for the best artistic achievement in Lodz in 1986/87 season.
