„Imagine” awarded at the 15th edition of Divine Comedy Festival!

International jury of the 15th edition of Divine Comedy (Boska Komedia) International Theatre Festival in Cracow announced its verdict. We are very happy to inform you that „Imagine” directed by Krystian Lupa (our co-production with Powszechny Theatre in Warsaw)  was awarded  for remarkable collective actor creation!

„The artists have developed the text together with director Krystian Lupa, and as a result we see on the stage a cast of strong actors who give a unique, dynamic and vivid performance as an ensemble”, reads the verdict’s reason. We remember that during one of the discussions in our theatre Krystian Lupa said  “theatre is an ensemble, a phenomenon”.

We are very happy and we thank for the award! Our congratulations go to all who were awarded and especially to Dominika Bednarczyk who won the Best Actress Award for her role in „Forefathers’ Eve” directed by Maja Kleczewska (she received the same award this year from the viewers of the International Festival of Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant).

The jury of this year’s edition of Divine Comedy Festival consisted of: Maria Rößler, Martin Glaser, Artur Ghukasyan, Luisa Hedo, Christian Holtzhauer, Leman Figen Yilmaz and Vicențiu Rahău
