Dark Water – a small village or town – everywhere and nowhere. The Priest in Dark Water dreams of staging Passion – „something you know very ecclesiastical because too few people come to the church”.  The Mayor is not convinced but he surrenders when lured by a possibility of a story published in „Gość Niedzielny”. Jesus is to be played by Dawid – a local school-boy. This is a strange decision because for many different reasons Dawid is not popular in Dark Water – he is a foreigner, does not have father, he likes to backtalk. Finally the rehearsals begin but it is not an easy task as it appears that no one (Cathechist included) knows Passion too well. What is more, Emigrants  appear in Dark Water. No one knows what to do with them. It is not possible to find out whether they have laptops because that disappear suddenly.  Dawid shows them to the barn beyond the village, not far from the tide-gate. The village inhabitants, now the characters of Passion – Caiaphas, Pilate, Pharisees – do not like it. After the heavy storm the barn with Emigrants is flooded. Later dead body of Dawid is found in the river.

What happened in Dark Water?

Why Dawid had to die?

Was it Dawid the school-boy or…?
