„Why are we ashamed of comedy?” – panel discussion on our Small Stage

On Saturday, 21 October, the participants of the discussion tried to find out an answer to the question „Why are we ashamed of comedy?”. Director Ewa Pilawska invited them within our theatrical comedy weekend – on Friday we presented „Appearances” by Marc Camoletti and then the laureates of the 7th edition of „Comedywriting” competition received their prizes.  

We would like to thank the discussion’s participants: Juliusz Machulski, Jacek Cieślak and Jacek Wakar for a very interesting meeting! Our „thank you” goes to Paweł Mossakowski (the winner of the 7th edition of „Comedywriting”) for his point in the discussioin as well as to our viewers and actresses who looked at the problem from a point of view of young creators’ and their preparation to play comedies.     

The meeting, organized by Ewa Pilawska, who many years ago created Polish Comedy Centre and „Comedywriting”, opened another stage of an important discussion on comedy.  She talked widely about it in the interview for „Rzeczpospolita” daily (➝ https://e-teatr.pl/magiczna-moc-komedii-41996).
